Sunday in the Sun

Sunday after church The Picketts and The Egan's were off to First Damn. It was beautiful. We played for 2 hours. The Egan's are great neighbors and friends. We enjoy having them in our home and playing with them outside. In the picture from left to right is front row: Payton, Mckay, back row: Mckaylee, Olivia, Wyatt, Jackson, Jacie. Thanks for letting us enjoy this day with you!!

Boys on the Run!!

The Boys where on the run this weekend. Shawn and his brothers Kurtis and Scott, went to St. George this weekend for a Geocache Event. They had a lot of fun. They managed to do almost 100 cache's in 3 days. That is awesome. For all of you who don't know what geocaching is it's like treasure hunting but using a GPS instead of a map. Our family loves doing this. We were excited for the nice weather and hoping that we could go this up coming weekend but forget that!! You should look out our window!! This is a picture of a Cache-U-Nut that Shawn made.

Wyatt....
Here is my good lookin' baby boy. Of course he is not a baby, if he heard me say that he would kill me. He also perfomed and the school Dance Program to "One Eyed, One Horned, Purple People Eater" The teachers that taught this dance had to put Wyatt in the front because he was hilarious to watch. There is one part in the dance that they have to turn and shake their "Booty" (that's what he calls it) and they loved how he just "Shook It". He makes me proud what can I say. They would practice it at home and the two of them doing that part was hilarious. We are very proud of him also.

Mckaylee......
She had her dance program for the school on Monday. We were so proud of her. She stole the show. We can't believe how tall she is getting. It feels like yesterday that she was just a little girl. It's amazing how fast they grow up. The 2nd grade performed to " One Eyed One Horned Purple People Eater. That would explain the silly costume. She loves to performe for everyone!!

"Skookies"

Ok! Many of you have emailed me and asked me what a "Skookie" is. Well, Saturday was my first time having one and it was DELICIOUS. As you can see by the picture it is a small cast iron pan with a cookie or brownie cooked in it. Then you can top it with any toppings you prefer. We cooked ours with brownie in it then topped it with ice cream, caramel, fudge, and whip cream. (I forgot the strawberries at home). This is a great treat for family home evening or any other reason you can come up with.

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY

We had a great Valentines Day around here. We celebrated it a day early with the kids. On Friday we had no school and Shawn only had to work 1/2 day so we went down to Ogden. The kids love to go to Fat Cats so we took them there. Of course we did some bowling and had some pizza. Then we played some arcade games and the kids did the bumper cars. Of course I haven't told you of how the bowling went. We played two games, Shawn won the first game so of course the competitive side of me had to win the second game, which I did. Then we had to play a game of Air Hockey. Which Shawn won again!!! We both have such a competitive side to everything that it actually gets quite crazy sometimes. But it turns out to be a lot of fun!! Saturday night we had a couples dinner at our neighbors house. Heather and Robert are great host. Heather is in the Primary Presidency with me and is a riote. We had a nice Turker Dinner and then we played the Newlywed Game. Shawn and I did great we came in second place. Of course the competitive side in us came out that night also. Last but not least we had a great dessert. I don't know if any of you have ever heard of "Skookies" but they are amazing. It was great to spend some time with my husband and the kids this weekend. I hope all of you had an amazing Valentines Day!!

Ok!! Was anybody else hoping that Spring was just around the corner? Well, I sure was. Last Friday we had such beautiful weather and was able to go running with the dog. I'm sure you all have recieved as much snow as we have. I believe we have recieved already around 4 inches today. Plus I just came home from the gym and the roads haven't been plowed yet. Anyways this is my picture of hope that Spring will come soon...
