How much snow can we really get???

Ok!!! These two picture's were taken this morning.. Shawn started about 7:30a.m. with using the snowblower and came in around 12:45p.m.. He makes me proud. He had gone down the street and helped out a few widow's in our subdivision and another couple that her husband works double shifts. Now let me show you the pictures from last night when we opened the door at 9:30p.m. The winds had started to blow really hard and we were starting to worry. I am thankful that we had made the choice to stay home on Christmas then drive down to see our families.. (Sorry Guy's)

You can tell by the pictures of how much snow we received in just a few short hours....Plus we had it all cleared, then if you look up at the other pictures it shows you how much we received today also. Of course Lady has to be out with Shawn playing in the Snow..

WINTER WONDERLAND

IT'S SURE IS WINTER IN LOGAN!! This week we went down to my folks house. We were expecting to spend time playing on the four wheeler with the sleds. But as we arrived we realized we were not in Logan. There was not much snow at all!! But please let me show you all of all the snow and fun that you can have with just a little bit of snow!!!

Christmas morning digging our Santa out!! This is just a small fraction of the snow!!

We can't tell who likes to play in the snow the most, the dog or Shawn????

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

Wyatt opening his Skateboard. He was so excited to get this. Hopefully, we will have no injuries with this!!! They also received an Xbox which they absolutely enjoy playing together.

Mckaylee was waiting so patiently for her dad to come down stairs so she could open up her presents!!!

It's Christmas morning and all through the Pickett house, the kids were jump jumping and the dog was pout pouting. Dad was out shoveling all the snow that was dumping. Mom was still sleeping hoping her head would stop thump thumping. But on this Christmas morning we all came together to remember this beautiful day and the reason we celebrate,
"The Birth of Christ"
We would love to tell you all of our love and appreciation for Christ and for our Family. During this time of year we all are so deeply greatful for all that we have and for everyone that we love.
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!!

It's Christmas Time

On December 17th, Mckaylee had her Christmas review for Dance. She was so excited they were allowed to wear any costume that they wanted and she insisted on wearing her witch costume from Halloween. She looked SOOOO CUTE!! She is the tallest and oldest girl in her class! We have tried for months to ask them to switch classes and they finally agreed after they saw her performance that night. She was the only one that knew all of her dances and was on perfect beat. We are so proud of her and how hard she has worked to do this. Good Job Mckaylee!!!!

Wyatt's First Badge!!

On December 18th, Wyatt earned is first Merit Badge in Cub Scouts. The first badge they earn is called the Bear Badge. When starting out in Cub Scouts you first start out in the Wolf den then advance to the next den when you turn 9. You have one year to earn your Wolf Badge. The Bear Badge is the first badge that they can earn. This badge requires them to learn the Scout Oath, Motto, what a Scout stands for. We are so proud of him for earning this so fast. It only took him one month to memorize everything. The other picture shows him pinning a pin on me. Everytime they earn a Badge they have the honor to pin something on their Mother. Great Job Wyatt!!!!

Christmas Day

Merry Christmas to Everyone!! As you have noticed I have changed my background. Some how I have managed to loose all of my information though!! If anyone can help please email me!! I will try and save my Computer.................

It's Great to be 8

Saturday, December 6th was a beautiful and spiritual day for our family. Wyatt and Mckaylee had made the choice to be baptized. The weather was beautiful we couldn't of asked for a better day. The festivities started around 2pm afterwards we all went to our church house and had dinner. I asked the kids what some of there favorite things about the day was? They said, "Having their cousins there, seeing ALL THOSE PEOPLE fit into that small room. But most of all that they are now members of the church." The kids were asked to stand up in sacrament on Sunday so they could be recognized and the smiles could of been a Kodak moment. But of course no pictures aloud. Speaking of pictures make sure to look at the special pictures. Plus look at there Birthday/Baptism cake. It's great!! Thanks to all of you who came up for this special day.

YUM!! YUM!!!

Happy Birthday Wyatt!!

Look Who's 8!!
He is so excited also to be 8. He great this really great Dirt Bike shirt and was so excited to wear it. Thanks Grandma Debi! He also received new Sunday clothes which he can wear for his Baptism. Yeah! He will also start Cub Scouts next week which he is so excited about also. Grandma and Grandpa Pickett Gave him a new basketball and bike pegs for his birthday. On Saturday we were down there all down and I could not get him to separate from it. He even wanted to take it into the movie with him.

Birthdays All Around!!

Look Who Turned 8!!!
She is so excited to finally have her ears pierced. I surprised her and didn't tell her till we got there. Always afraid of the "over dramatic" at this age. She did great we only had a few tears. Now she can't wait to try different earrings. She also got a new outfit from Grandma and Grandpa Willis. Grandma and Grandpa Pickett gave her a new jewelry box with earring she can wear. She feels she is all grown up now!!

Halloween

Grandma Davis took this cure picture of our Family!!

Grandpa Johnny and Grandma Debi drove up to see for Halloween. We loved seeing them and spending some quality time with them. They stayed for dinner and then went to our Ward Halloween Trunk or Treat!! Thanks Grandma and Grandpa for coming up!!

Aggies Homecoming Parade

Mckaylee takes dance lessons at LaShar's and absolutely loves it. She has made a lot of new friends. This is Anna who lives down the street from us that she takes lessons with.

Parade Happy!! She loved every minute of it.

Here is all the grandchildren together at Bear Country. Two of little cousins weren't there but we missed them a lote.

This is a rare Albino Buffalo.
Can you say "Minature Donkey's Everywhere"!

"Jaba the Bear"
This picture shows you how close we were to the bears!!

Bear Country

This is one of the 40-50 bears that we saw. He just sat and stared at all of the cars as everybody drove by.
Mountain goats are all over in South Dakota, we saw them in Mt. Rushmore also.
This is one of the many wolfs that ran past our car. Shawn happen to have his window half way down when this wolf came high tailin' past our car. It scared him really good.

These two bull Elk fought for a good 10 minutes. They were about 20 yards from our car.

Crazy Horse Monument

This is at the "Crazy Horse Monument." We are standing in front of the original sculpture that the artist had made as the replica. If you look very hard you can see the Crazy Horse carved in the mountain behind us. It was really a good learning experience for all of us. The mountain is all granite and the kids were able to take home a rock from the mountain. They are in our flower bed in the front yard.

It was a beautiful day. We were able to just wear our jackets instead of our heavy coats. This was a neat place for the kids. They learned about the Native Americans. We were able to see hand made jewelery, jackets, arrowheads, and original bow and arrows that were donated to the museum.

Our Family Life!

Welcome! We are pleased to start this blog as a family and share it with you all. The name behind our blog comes from when Shawn and I were doing our engagement pictures at Grandpa Davis' farm. It was absolutely beautiful that day and there was picket fence's everywhere. Shawn has always loved the farm so we chose to do our pictures there. I also believe that when a picket fence is built correctly it can stand strong through anything and everything together.
