Wyatt Rocket Derby

This is Wyatt and his friend Jackson that lives down the street from us!
Wyatt had his Scouts Rocket Derby on the 30th of January. He was so excited and enjoyed every minute of it. Shawn also had a lot of fun as he was able to help all the boys with their rockets.

Lady Bird!!

OK, so as you all may know is that my dog is my baby. She loves to go everywhere with me and is always right by my side. Well, This week she has been sick. For the last 3 days she has been throwing up and has not kept anything in. Today I finally made Shawn take her in while I was at school. She needed her booster shots anyways. Well when I called this morning to the vet and told them what she was doing they scared me to death. The vet tech asked me if her gums where black and the roof of her mouth was black? Well after looking there were. She told me that she was not getting any air and she needed to come in ASAP. She freaked me out so bad I thought that my dog was going to DIE. I was thinking the worse at school and was waiting for Shawn's call to tell me what was going on. Greatfully, she is ok. After an hour there Shawn was already home. But she sure did let me know of how sad she was that she had to go to the doctor and get shots. In this picture I posted we call her facial expression "the poughty face" this is what she does when she needs some simpathy. For all you dog lovers hopefully you understand my scare today.

Frustration

Have you ever had one of the days that you wonder why the church calls you to a certain calling? Well I have. Lately, I have had those thoughts and feelings. As some of you may know I am the Primary President in my ward. We have had problems after problems. What do you do? The last few weeks I feel like the " Big Bad Wolf" instead of the nice, sweet person I know is somewhere in me, I just don't know where it is. Anyways, boys can be boys, we have a group of boys that are really hard in our ward. We have had Parent meetings with the kids and the parents. Thought that it was working but it's not. Now, I have Scout Leaders that are also not enjoying there callings due to these kids. I know these group of boys have so much potential and are great kids for me at school but at church it's a total different world. What do you do? I have actually joked around with the member of the Bishopbric that is over us about we have no one that wants to serve in the Nursery, I will take the Nursery calling any day after times like this. Well, this may not make sense to anyone but me. That's what my husband says anyways. I just needed to "vent" if you know what I mean. Good night to all!!

My Basketball Player!!

Wyatt is the 2nd tallest player on the team. As you can tell by the picture he is not a short boy. He loves playing. Wyatt was given a basketball for his birthday in November and we let him sleep with it for the first couple of days but then we had to sneak it out of his room. That is how much that boy loves to play. Good job Wyatt!!

My Father's 60th Birthday Party at Maddox!

Last night we had a wonderful dinner as adults to celebrate my Fathers birthday. We all had the opportunity to toast my dad (yes there was actually no roasting amazing isn't). All of those attending were: Of course my Mom and Dad, Grandma Belle, my Uncle Don and Aunt Larene, Eli and Stacy, Jeff and Lyndi, Alicia and Hans, of course Myself and Shawn, Lindsay and Daniel, plus my Aunts and Uncles. He also had his best friend from his school days you could basically call them brother, Byron Martinez. I am thankful for my Dad and the way he has raised me.

I Love You Dad!

A New Year!

Yes, I know that it is now a new year and I have not done any blogging. I am trying some new changes in my family. With my church calling, the kids activities, the gym and just family time, I am trying to spend alote more time with the family then so much time doing the others. The kids are doing great. Wyatt is playing basketball on Saturdays, Jr. Jazz, he is one of the tallest on the team. He really enjoys it. Mckaylee has Dance on Wednesdays and she is so excited for her recital in May. Her dance is to one of the songs off Mamma Mia. Shawn of course is the hard worker that he always is ecspecially lately. They are very busy at work and he has been working 12-14 hrs a day. He loves it though. He has been so great and supporting me in my calling if you have ever been in a presidency of any sort you know what I mean. I wondered at time why I was put in as the Primary President but then every Sunday when I see those kids and listen to them sing and their talks I know why I love my calling. I hope all is well with everyone.
