Scary Drive
Well this is what it looked like last night when I was driving home from Clearfield. The kids and I had gone down for our annual Gingerbread House making party. We stopped briefly to talk with Lynnett and Keith then were on the road by 7 p.m. As we were sitting a red light waiting to get on the free way Wyatt said "Mom, I'm worried about driving home tonight! I don't think it's going to be safe" My response to him "Let's say a prayer" We pulled over to the side of the road as Wyatt said the prayer you could feel the spirit so strongly and it had given us the reassurance that it was going to be OK. Wyatt had even said "Mom, did you feel that?" As we continued to drive home, both of the kids had fallen asleep. Through Willard Bay the fog was so thick I couldn't even see the reflectors on the side of the road. I just kept saying to myself "it's going to be OK" Well, things got really scary after that. We missed our exit (due to the fact you couldn't see the exit signs) as I traveled slowly down the freeway I got off at the next exit, I pulled over and called Shawn. He was able to get on the computer and pull up where I was at. Amazing I ended up off the freeway somewhere close to Crystal Hot Springs. I was able to slowly make my way home from there. After a 1 hour and 32 minute drive home, we made it. I have never felt so blind before in my life. With no landmarks visible to help guide me home, I knew through the power of prayer that my Heavenly Father had helped guide me home. I am so thankful for prayer and for an amazing husband to keep me calm through such a scary situation.

Such a weird/scary feeling to drive thru that isn't it? Glad you found your way home, and that you arrived safe! It sure was foggy last weekend!
That is a fabulous story to be used in a talk for Primary or Sacrament. I'll give your Bishop a call and tell him that you're ready to give a talk on faith, prayer, following the Spirit etc.
Wow, what a great event in Wyatt's life. Gld you made it home okay.
Lynnett, your funny! I am so not ready to speak but thanks!!
glad you made it home safe and sound! and I love how when somethings are hard and scary you can teach kids about how important prayer is! I love moments like that (no in thick, can't see the road fog, but you know what I mean)
